Tom’s Blog (Part 9)

Hello! Today is a very sad day as it is my last day of Work experience, which means this is my last usual blog, but don’t worry as there will be a final blog update with a review of the past two weeks that I’ll be publishing later today.Once again, I started yesterday by updating my blog followed by an update of ‘Today’s Press’.

My mentor for yesterday was Julie. Julie specialises in educating secondary schools about business, specifically business techniques and enterprise schemes. So, as well as Julie telling me all about Ethical & Corporate Affairs, Julie told me about Business & Communication which I am interested in.

Julie got to know me and my skill sets with questionnaire followed by a business plan detailing how to run a perfect business and how to keep it organised. Finally, Julie helped me out with my impending presentation and gave me some hints and tips on how to impress the audience.

Later in the day, I also met Mary who explained Field Radio (This is a genius invention where salespeople who are not based in a specific location can call a freephone number to find out what is happening at the Co-operative).

Finally, I carried working on my presentation, which I’m still very nervous about.

I really enjoyed yesterday, especially learning new business skills and finding all about Field Radio.
